b-day card

This morning I made a card for my friend Kim. Her birthday is on Thursday!! :) I had lots of fun making this one....using some of the goodies that I got RAK'ed with. ;)

So Guess What...

Well, I didn't lose or gain anything from last week. I'm just glad I didn't gain. Since I had 2 birthdays and 1 anniversary. And now Sunday I have Ryan's birthday. I'll try to be more tougher and not fall into the yummy cake and pizza that day. ;) I'm sure if I didn't do all the walking I did (3 miles a day) then I probably would've gained.

Holy Bat Cake Batman!!

This cake is AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWESOME!!!!! Talk about trouble, sitting on the counter. LOL Mary, you are in big trouble little missy!!! Just way to good to be sitting over there on that little cake plate, that's for sure.

See, I bought the stuff to make this Yummy Apple Spice cake before I started my diet. But it's better for you than the regular way of making it. Since the oil is replaced with apple pie filling. I'll have to look for the sugar free version of the pie filling next time, then it will be even more better, less guilt free...lol ;)

How exciting, today is the FIRST day of fall! Isn't it wonderful?!? All the pretty colors. And my yard is already getting full of leaves...LOL It's been breezy the last several days, which has made my walking enjoyable. And to bring in the change of Season, I ate my leftover pumpkin cheesecake from Olive Garden, from last night. Ummm, HELLO, it was soooooo good! It'll make you smack your mama, for sure! ;)

10 Years

Today was our 10 year Anniversary!!! :) Such a special day for us!!!

But when she was talking about the centers that they play in, it reminded me of Ryan in Pre-K and Kindergarden. And yes, she talks real countryfied if you can't tell from that last statment from her....LOL

And btw, I am totally not ready for this girly boyfriend junk...UGH!!! GESH, she's only 4!!! LOL

Made Three

I managed to FINALLY make 3 birthday invitations last night for Ryan's birthday party for next Sunday, the 30th. LOL I made them plan and simple, they'll end up in the trash, I'm sure...LOL He thought they turned out cute, so that's all that mattered, right?

Well, hmmmm...

Today was my BIL's birthday. We went over there for cake and ice cream before football and cheerleader practice. I had a piece of cake and ice cream of course, can't be rude you know. But I walked a mile and a half afterwards, so hopefully that helped. Don't know the calories on all of that. But I think I gave myself a big hunking number to cover it....which still left me under my 1200 calories for the day. *crossing fingers*

1 day, 2 more events to go....LOL

Loosing update...

Today was my weekly checkup. I have lost 5 lbs. I'm so excited!! I hope I do just as well this week with my anniversary being this week...and my 12 year old Brother-in-laws birthday as well...oh and Chad's birthday. Gesh, I think this week is doombed already. UGH! Wish me luck please.

WOW, go ME!!

So yesterday evening, it was time for me to go walk my mile. So I walked and walked and finished. I was like, I think I'll do another. So while I did that, I was talking to my mom and she talked me into doing 1 more mile. I got in 3 miles, at once. This past week I've walked 2 miles a day, but it was 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. Go me for getting 3 miles in at once. Woohoo! It was super easy. I didn't have any troubles at all doing it. I think I'm in the groove with walking now. I feel like I made up for my evening walk on Friday that I missed due to the High School football game. And then yesterday mornings walk due to the Pee-Wee football game....LOL

...time to go do my morning mile.... tata!

Dentist or No Dentist...

That is the question!

Last night Ryan was eating his chicken stripes for dinner last night and he bit down on a hard crunchy and hurt his molar. It's capped! So we got a little worried. He was a little scared. He was fine today, so of course, he went to school. Well this morning the nurse called saying that Ryan was bleeding from his tooth. And suggested he get to a dentist. No problem. I set up an emergency visit at 3pm. So at 2:30 I was at the school signing him out. Here he comes walking slower than Christmas down the hallway. I was like DUDE, get the lead out of your BUTT!! He was like, why?? I told him we needed to get to the dentist. He said...LOL...why? I said for your tooth dingbat!! He said why...lmao! I said cause it's all loose and stuff. He said no mama, it's here around my neck, I lost it earlier today.

Well HELL, lmao!!!!! I told him to get back to class. haha!!! So the tooth fairy needs to get ready for tonight. It's a molar, so it's big bucks, probably 5....LOL Tooth fairy chick is such a tight wad, don't you think?

She says it's her birthday...nah nah nah nah nah nah nah

If she's not having one of those menopausal moments...lol...and giving the wrong date for her birthday, then TODAY is her birthday! Happy Birthday Kari!! Hope you have a good one, I'm sure you are if you are out at the shops in Granbury. :)

....NOT....

This thing scared me to death this morning. I've NEVER seen one before, or even seen one that big. I just see the little ol' piss ant spiders...LOL So then I noticed it's web and it reminded me of Charlotte's Web.




So, what was scary, is that the big huge booger is right there at the stairs into my house...between the railings... UGH! Chad says he'll remove it when he gets home. I know it's not going to do anything, but still it's BIG...really BIG. And that's just not cool.

....so, onto other things besides big ol' spiders. Yesterday..........I walked 2 miles. 1 mile in the morning, 1 in the evening. I was most proud of myself. I was 100 calories under my 1200 calorie limit. Go me! I drank tons of water. Go me again!

....so, this morning, I actually got dressed and decided to go walk, EVEN THOUGH it's been yucky since yesterday at 7pm. It barely did a few sprinkles on me while I walked this morning. Hopefully it will be ok enough for Chad and I to go walk this evening....for my 2nd mile.

Time to shed some pounds

Today a friend and I went to a weight loss doctor and we're going to be losing our weight. Chad's going to join us next week. :) I'm excited for us. :)

OH MY GOSH ya'll! My little man FINALLY won his first ever pee-wee football game y esterday. This makes his 3rd season now. I just about wanted to cry, seriously. And then, my little baby girl is on the pee-wee cheerleading squad. AWWWW! What a great day it was yesterday. I was so proud of her for standing out there doing their cheers. It was great. I just can't get over Ryan winning though. It was so special. It was their first game this season. They won 13-0!

Saira cracks me up. For the last month or so, with the talk of school, she's always calling her grade "Pretty-K" but it's suppose to be 'Pre-K'. It's so cute!!! She doesn't know she's saying it that way, she thinks she's saying 'Pre-K'. LOL ;)

Sorry folks, I've been super busy this week with school. My baby girl started her 1st year of school. AWWWWW! Ryan's in the 2nd grade, so we have been swamped with homework every afternoon. OMG, it's just crazy!!! Then we also have had football and cheerleading practice every evening. Yes, I'm exhausted and pooped. BUT to top it off... all week I've had a toothache and today I have a dentist appointment to get it taken care of. YAY! ;)

So, I haven't done any scraping or card making. Today I was suppose to make a card, shame on me for not making it. But later tonight, when I get back I'll post pics of the kids at school. ;)

That time of year

Yep, it's once again, that time of year. Time to pull out the sand bags and stack'em up high. Tropical Storm Erin left a pretty mark on my area today, but she got us all geared up to get ready for Dean out there drifting towards the Gulf. 2 years ago when Katrina hit, she got us all scared and running when Rita came. Thank goodness, cause it knocked over all kinds of trees in our yard. But thanks to the Good Lord no trees were on our house. Just smack dab up against it. lol So now with Hurricane Dean coming this way....I'm nervious, worried and scared. I don't want to go through that again. It was really terrible. It wasn't fun being so far away from home not knowing if your home is still there or not or having to pack up all the pictures and clothes.

So it seems I can't get my creative juices flowing now that I cleaned up and reorginzied my room. This really stinks. LOL I've been looking at these group of pictures on my table since midnight last night and can't figure out what to do with them. Can't decide on what papers. Someone needs to come mess my room up a little. Maybe that will help.

Yay! A Scrap Room

I'm slowly getting my den turned into a scrap room. All I need is an amoire and I should be good to go. I'd really like to have a new computer desk. Something smaller, less bulkier. But, I think I'll be ok with what I have. I'm trying to aim for a non-crafty looking room. Since this is the den and it's in plan sight through the house. The fireplace is in here too. BTW, which is really in the way...LOL

So here's what I did today. I tossed out the old dvd, vcr and stereo from the entertainment center. Then I cleaned it all up and then put all my supplies and albums on the shelves of my new scrap 'center'. LOL I cleaned up my desk, got rid of all the clutter. I have clutter spots all over...LOL So I'm clutter free.





That's not all my stuff though...lol Everything is still in my MM Rolling Tote.

First Cards...

Last weekend I made my first cards. This is one of them. I didn't get a picture of the other one, but my friend is going to take a picture of it for me. :) I was really happy with the way this one turned out. :)
