New Layouts

First off,  I haven't finished taking pics of the layouts that I made on the Retreat.  ....those are soon to come.

But here are the projects I made for Scrapperie's July Kit, English Garden.  OMG, this kits was fabulous!!!  It's jam packed with goodies.  I made 5 layouts and 2 cards so far.  I really enjoyed being the Guest Designer this month!!

I have 1 more LO to add later, it goes with this last one, "The Line Up".

Craziness

From previous posts, I'm sure ya'll know I've been up at the Elementary subbing.  Last week was busy busy.  I subbed 1/2 a day for Pre-K.  Those little kiddos are the best, I love them dearly!!  Then I was called in to sub for the Music teacher.  That was interesting...LOL  We didn't do any singing and such.  I'm the cool sub...LOL  We colored and watched a movie...HEHE!!!  Then....  ohhhh then....LOL  I was asked that afternoon to sub for one of the 2nd grade teachers.  Infact, she was Ryan's 2nd grade teacher last year.  ....OH MY!!!  I had 2 boys that were something.  I sub for them again tomorrow.  And they will be seperated for sure... ;)  Mean Mrs. Downs is gonna have to show her face tomorrow.  This teacher has TWO ADHD boys sitting together.  I mean, I'm no smart cookie or anything, but ummm, is that a good thing to do???  LOL  These boys took ALLLLLLL day to get their work done because they were goofing off all day long.  But to add to that wild and crazy day with them, the Elementary went to the High School for the homecoming "Pepper-Rally".  I can't get Saira to say Pep-Rally to save my life...LOL  It's too cute though.  Thank God though, I got to drive myself over to the High School instead of riding on the bus with the kids.  It wasn't that bad though, really.  We actually had a fun day together.  I know they will be all excited to see me tomorrow.  All the kids are getting to where they are wondering if Mrs. Downs is going to sub for them now.  Awww, they are sooo cute!

So a few weeks ago, I had a SU! card making party here at the house.  We made 2 Halloween cards and a thank you card.  :)  But first I want to show you a Halloween card I made on the 5th along with a few other cards.

They were all made for challenges for National Card Making Day.  :)

And now here are the cards I made from my SU! card party.

4th of July cards

Here's my creation for the 4th.  :)  I had gotten the stamp set from Sampin! Up.  When I saw it in the catty I just KNEW I HAD TO HAVE IT!!  ;) 

But OMG, I'm totally terrible.  I just went to the post office right now.  Gesh...LOL  Most everyone won't get them til Saturday hopefully.  My dad is in Alaska though, so he won't get his til what....next wednesday probably.  LOL  Oh well now.  hehe!!  Hope ya'll enjoy the card when you get it.  lol

Card and Layout for Challenges

This first one, we had to use a Scrapperie Kit for this challenge. So I used my April Kit-Spring Break.

Last night I started this LO for a challenge at Scrapperie. We had to use ONLY patterned paper, NO card stock allowed. ...and that's what I did. :)

And this last one we had to make a card from a sketch that Ally made at So Sketchy!

Father's Day Card

Today a friend of mine had her Stampin' Up party here at my house. And we made three cards. This is one of them. I TOTALLY love this Father's Day card.

There are two more that I need to take pictures of, but I just had to show this one off right now. :)

Round 2 of the Gauntlet

Last week I moved on to round 2 of the Gauntlet at the Scrapperie. The challenge was to make a card in a different shape other than a square or rectangle. So this is what I made. :)



Supplies:
CS - whisper white SU!
PP - ??
ribbon - walmart
button - walmart
stazon black
SU! watercolor pencils
SU! ruby red ink
catseye chesnut roan
catseye charcoal
Alpha stamps - walmart
SU! a little birdie told me stamp set
pop dots
glue dots


Technique:
I cut the apple out and then inked it in red and the stem in chesnut roan. I inked the edges of the apple and the little pieces of PP in charcoal. I adheared the PP and then the ribbon. I cut a piece of whisper white CS from a scrap and made lines with a ruler using SU! watercolor pencils. Then I used stazon and spelled out teacher with alpha stamps as well as the 'you're the best!' stamp.

Mother's Day Cards

I made these cards last Friday on the 18th at an At Home Workshop with SU!. And I just had to share these pretty cards!

This is for Challenge #14 at Techno Stamper. I made this for an old friend that I've been neglecting. Her and I have been best friends since High School, and she's only like 10 miles away from me, tops. Shame on me for not taking the time to go visit her. :( But her birthday is on Friday, the 25th and this is her card.

Some new cards

I had alot of fun making these. The candle card, I had to use some PP on it...and stamping I think. And the 2nd card I had to use felt. Both were challenges for March at the Scrapperie.

You Crack Me Up

These were the Easter Cards I made. I used the same things from the Teachers cards, plus the SU! scallop punch and new polytwill ribbon. I love that stuff!!

My goodness, I have so much to share....

Wow, I haven't even shared the projects that we made from the workshop at my SU! demonstrators house from last weekend. Shame on me!!
So this is the ADORABLE little egg basket we made from a template and embossing. It was my first time to emboss and we even did the tissue. Cute huh?!? You can get the template from Amy Celona's blog.

And then we made these two cards. Aren't they cute? We did some embossing on the St. Patty's card.


This is the American Idol LO for Challenge #2 at Scrap-Tastic.com. We had a list to choose from for our title. And of course they were song titles. I chose 'call me'. We had to use metal, stamps and stars....so I used a star stamp.

This LO was for a challenge at Scrapperie for a theme, which was Easter/Spring. So I made another page for Ryan's easter pics from 2006. I love the little glittered corners on the left side. :)

The next challenge at Scrapperie was to scraplift a favorite LO of my own. So I lifted the one of Me and Chad called 'Truly Madly Deeply'. We also had a few other things in the list we could choose from to go with this challenge.

Patterned paper – Basic Grey or Imaginesce
Specialty paper – grid or lined paper
Lettering – stickers, Thickers, or rub-ons
Embellishments – buttons, ribbon, or brads/eyelets,
Technique to try – try some stamping on your layout!
Photos – How about a layout with you in it?!
Inspiration – scraplift yourself! Find a layout you've done in the past that you like and lift it!
And this also goes along with the other LO I did for his first day of 2nd Grade.
Last one, this was for another challenge at scrapperie. It was a circle sketch challenge. And again I made another LO to go with Ryan's Easter 2006.

Teacher's Easter Cards

I made 2 of these cards for the kids teachers. Super simple and easy. I used the Stampin' Up 'Good Egg' stamp set with the SU! color pencils and popdots. And I used my blender pens on the color pencils.

Yesterday I was able to scrap ALLLLLLLLLLLL day long. Seriously, I scrapped for 15 hrs. I managed to get 7 challenges done. There were 10 plus an extra to make a bingo card for the bingo game.
Here's the first one I completed. The challenge was called 'Lucky 7'. We needed to use seven things on the LO from the list provided yesterday.

This next one was a Monochromatic challenge. So duh, my color was pink.

And this next one for the 'give it an edge' challenge.

And then it was Bingo time and we have to have our Bingo cards completed and uploaded to the 'gallerie' by 6pm. Yeah, it was 5:45 and I totally forgot about it. I was running all over my scraproom trying to rush and get it completed. We had a list of words to chose from. I was late completing it, but they waited on me. I need to fix my little boo-boo's...as you can see. BTW, I won 2 bingos...HEHE, I wouldn't have the 3rd bingo, but I wasn't paying attention.

Then it was the 'tag' challenge. We had to make a tag using 2 pp's, buttons, ribbons or fibers and stitching. I love my tag!!

This was the last challenge I was able to complete. We had to make a card using CS only, stamps, ink, circle, ribbon and rub-ons. Ugh, the rub-on part was giving me such a hard time. But finally I found these brown flowers and thought maybe it would work. And I suppose it's ok...lol
