Superbowl Sunday

It's time for the Patriots and the Giants to duke it out. How many of you out there will be watching the game? I'm wanting to watch, I always do, but I have this urge to scrap or make cards...LOL Maybe if it do that now I'll get it out of my system and I'll be ready to watch the game. I'm for the Patriots. I'd hate for them to lose and have their undefeated record go down the drain. I'd like to see Randy Moss make ALOT of touchdowns for them as well.

So, will you be scraping and card making or watching the game? Do you have a superbowl party going on today? Are you going to take pictures so you can scrap it? :) :)

Well Happy Ground Hog Day!!

Yep, it's that time again... It's ground hog day!! Is Phil going to see his shadow or not? Will we be having 6 more weeks of winter weather or will we have an early Spring. Phil, you better not see that shadow. I'm already tired of winter and it just got started for us. LOL ;)

Woohooo...shopping...

Boy was today fun!!! I FINALLY went scrapbook shopping. I haven't been in probably 2 months. ACK!!!! But anyways, Jana and I stopped by Target and then to Hobby Lobby. I only spent $30 all together...go me. So I don't feel so guilty either. lol Perhaps my shopping day looked good because we stopped by Cyndi's (my stampin up lady) to get our orders. So I had lots of bags...hehe! I think I'll get crafty tonight.

My February is going to be a little boring for card making. Thank goodness for Valentine's Day though or I really wouldn't have anything to do in that area. But I found an old friend who's having an anniversary next week. So there's a card. Perhaps that means I'll be able to get more pages done. What do you think? I asked both the kids if they'd like for me to make their valentine's for them and they both said yes, but then Saira told me no after she saw all the boxed valentine's at walmart. So I'm not sure what the game plan is. LOL I guess we'll see before to long.

Recapping January 2008

This month went by so quickly. Starting off with our New Year celebration, Ryan and I had a fun time hanging out. Chad and Saira just couldn't hang with us. I opened up a bottle of bubbly for me and Ryan....the Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice...DUH!!! lol ;) And then nothing much really happened until the later 1/2 of the month with Saira's 5th birthday. What fun that was. She created her invite list which included all the family, some of my friends and a few of her friends. It was such a cute party. She got soooo many clothes again this year. This kid trips me out with how she LOOOOVES clothes. That's all she asked for besided a Hannah Montana wig. lol ;) The day of her birthday I took cupcakes up to the school for her and her classmates. Then more fun came along when I had a Stampin' Up workshop. Some friends and I made 3 cards that my demonstrator had lined out for us. I love having SU! parties!!! One day I'd love to be a SU! demonstrator. And then this last weekend the kids and I went to Houston to visit with my great aunt who had her 70th birthday. We took her out for ice cream since we weren't able to make it for lunch. And then to end the month off it was my friend Nina's birthday. So Saira and I went out for lunch with her and then some fun shopping.

I hope February will be just as fun!!! I know Valentine's Day will be great and I have a crop planned, so we'll see what else unfolds.

Happy 5th Birthday Saira!!

Today Saira turned 5 years old.... FIVE!! ...5 years old!! At exactly 8:05am infact. 5 years ago, she hurried herself into the world after being 3 days late of her due date. It only took 4 hours from the time the contractions begain until she was out and in my arms. She was 8lbs even and 19 1/2 inches long.
Today I brought a package of cupcakes to her to share with her class. They seemed to enjoy that. :)
Here are some pictures from her birthday party on Sunday...

Can you tell she was SUPER excited to get her Hannah Montana wig from my dad and his wife?? She says she asked Santa for one at Christmas. And all I can think of is that she must've asked Santa at the mall just a few days before Christmas. So yeah, Santa didn't bring it. Shame on him!!! And she was really heart broken on Christmas morning. :( But now it's fine and dandy... :) Go Grandpa!!!

My brother gave her a CD. ;) She thinks she's all that and a box of cookies now...LOL ;)

And of COURSE my little Starbucks addict would get a gift card. ;) LOL

She got soooo many more things, lots of clothes and a few games and a couple of toys. She had a wonderful Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday my little sweetie!! :)

Saira's Birthday Party

Yesterday was the party and it was so much fun. She got so many clothes. I never can get over with her girly girlness. When I was little, I hated getting clothes. I wanted my Barbie's, Strawberry Shortcake dolls, roller skates (4 wheels PLEASE!!!) and bikes. Last week I asked her what she wanted for her birthday so I could tell whoever might ask. And all she said was shirts, pants, dresses and capri's...LOL I had to ask her if she wanted toys. And all she really said was Hannah Montana stuff.

She's starting to do new hair styles on herself. She'll gather up her hair nice and neatly up at the top/middle and front(not sure if you can really picture that...lol) and put a little claw clip to hold it in place. I was never able to do my hair as a kid. LOL Heck, I can hardly deal with her stringy straight as a board hair. It goes one direction and that's it. She must have more patience than I do with it.

I can totally tell she's turning 5. She's acting more and more like a big kid. She's grown 3 inches since her birthday last year. She's in a size 13 1/2 shoe. Size 6 in pants and shirts. She's 3' 9 1/4" tall. And her favorite thing right now is Hannah Montana or any of the 'big kid' shows as I call them. LOL She LOOOOVES her lipgloss. I think she's pretty much addicted. LOL She loves to draw, color and do pretty much anything crafty. She comes by it honestly. It pretty much runs in our blood. Both my grandmothers do/did all kinds of crafty things....that's where I got it from, and that's where Saira gets it from. ;) You'll never see her without her purse and a baby.

These are just a few of the MANY MANY things that make up my little baby girl. She's so full of silliness and personality. And everytime I see that smile of hers it always reminds me of when she was just 5, 6, 7 and 8 months old when ALL she did was SMILE allllllll the time. Major cuteness!! Her nickname was Smilie. With all that smiling as a baby, it turned her into this ham of a young lady.

What's funny, is everything about her now, is everything who I was at that age as well. It's really hard to believe she's 5 years old.

A Birthday is coming

My baby girl is having a birthday next Tuesday the 22nd. She'll be 5 years old. Being 3 and 4 was just fine, but turning 5 is like WOW. Ryan's 8 and she'll be 5. My babies are growing and growing. I'm sure I'll have a few reflection posts by Tuesday. :)

Saira wants to have a Hannah Montana birthday party. She has 4 friends and a cousin invited. And lots of adults...LOL And all she's asked for is clothes and shoes. Now tell me that's not a girlie girl! LOL She is something else. ;)

Nervous Uncles

I don't have alot of Ryan's baby pictures printed out. I had stored all of his baby pictures on a CD and some how it ended up worn out with scratches.... EVEN THOUGH I kept it protected. I took care of that CD for dear life. I've been heart broken for the last 4 years now...maybe longer, I can't remember anymore. But for Mother's Day 2003, the year Saira was born, my mom created 2 slideshow CD for me, with music. One was of Ryan, the other was of Saira. Oh goodness....talk about major tear jerkers. I still can't watch them without crying. The music she had chosen was very very special. For his CD she put Elton John's 'You'll Be Blessed'. For hers she put a 'Sara' from Fleetwood Mac. If I could figure out how to upload the slideshow, then I would. I'll play around and see what I can do.

Anyways, I got these 2 pictures off of Ryan's CD. The top photo is the older brother, John Edward. He was 17 years old. The bottom picture is my baby brother and my mom. He was 15. I was 23...lol

I actually used all scraps for this LO.
