We went on a 2nd trip to be with Chad for Easter. And the Easter Bunny even knew where to go.  :)

Big Adventure...again...

Chad is still working in Memphis. So as soon as school was out (at 3pm) on Thursday, we headed on out for our 9 hour trip. It was much better traveling at night with the kids. Not that last time was bad. But they were able to sleep more than 1/2 the way here. Traveling at night brought back memories from when I was a kid. Back then, we traveled around ALOT! If we weren't moving, we were on a vacation some where. It was great. We also did alot of traveling from CA to TX. And that's where my trip the other night brought back memories. As a kid, I'd stay up late keeping my mom awake. Back then I was great at it. ...I was a motor mouth...LOL ;)

I feel bad that the kids are missing church in the morning for Easter, and the egg hunt. BUT, sometimes I think it's more important to go and see the one you love! So in the morning, we're going to meet Chad at IHOP when he gets off work. And when we're done, we'll pack up and head home. Probably some where around 9am or so.

Maybe when I get home I'll remember to upload some of our Memphis pics.... from this time and last time.

New Christmas Present

I'm already using a Christmas gift that I got from my dad yesterday... a laptop. I'm so glad to finally have one. I'm ready to dive into the digital scrapbooking and I'm going to do it with the Creative Memories Memory Mananger and Story Book Creator programs. And I plan on doing it with the laptop. :) Thanks Daddy!!!

Speaking of Scrapbooking, it's getting closer to our Annual winter Scrapbook Retreat in January. I can't wait to go!!

Layouts from Celebrate Houston

Here are the pages that I made last Saturday during the horrible storm in Houston.  1,000 ladies gathered at the George R. Brown convention center to scrapbook from 9am-8pm.  I managed to get 8 pages done plus several 8x8's for our Thanksgiving in Alaska album.

Oh so Pretty!!

Friday I subbed for Pre-K.  That class is the one I sub most for.  But it was also the Valentine's Parties for all the kids.  Except for my class.  They had theirs on Thursday because the teacher knew she wasn't going to be there that day.  Sometime around 9:30ish I guess, the secretary buzzed in and asked me to come to the office.  I walk in and roses all over the place.  She pointed to mine and said those are for you....  I opened the card, already knowing who they were from...lol ;)  And told them they were from Chad.  She said, "awwww, he's still sweet as ever."

I took the roses to my class and all the little kids Oooo'ed and Ahhhh'ed over them.  ;)

The next day, on Valentine's day he took me out to eat and got me 2 pairs of pants and 2 shirts.  :)  He's such a Sweetie!!!!!! 

Super Great

So far, my new year has been GREAT!!  :)  It's been a rather lazy one too.  One more day though, until the kids go back to school.  I've enjoyed the Christmas break.  ...sleeping in and staying up super late.  I don't look forward to going back.  I'm pretty sure I won't be called in to work on Monday.  I would think all the teachers will be there.  ;)  But maybe I'll have some calls sometime next week.

So how was everyone's Christmas?

Mine was wonderful! My family came over to my house for the first time. Normally, we'd always go over to my Great Aunts house. But this year my aunt has a kitten and we were afraid the kitten would tear down the tree...LOL

My husband had the suprise of his life. He got exactly what he asked for. All he wanted was new rims for his 4-Wheeler. So my mom bought one, my great aunt bought one and I bought two. I went to the bike shop earlier this week and bought them and had them print out some tickets for me to put in 3 boxes. I weighed them down with bags of candy and he was totally suprised! It was priceless!! I think that made my Christmas for sure.

So the next day, Friday, he goes back to the bike shop to have them mounted. ;) He gets home and I take a picture of him on his bike. He's the happiest guy in the world right now!!

Finally, Finally... pics of the Tree

Last night I finally took pics of the tree. I asked Ryan if they turned out good enough to share and he approved. It took me all of the Thanksgiving weekend to do the tree because I had a REALLY REALLY bad burn on my right index finger from cooking the turkey. So here you go. :)

Ahhh, Christmas!

I'm so excited!  It's Christmas season time again.  Every Thanksgiving night I pull out the tree and decorations and have at it.  Chad thinks I'm crazy because he says it's not December yet.  But to me, Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas Season begins.

BTW, it's Black Friday and you WON'T catch me out there doing any shopping.  NOOOOO WAY!!!  That day scares me...LOL

This Thanksgiving, it was my first time ever to cook the whole meal for my family, and Chad's family too.  Usually it's my aunt, or me and my aunt.  But this time...I did the WHOLE thing.  And I have war wounds to go with it.  LOL  I was putting the turkey in the oven roaster and then I was buttering him up and seasoning him all up and noticed his little wing needed to be tucked in better...  WOOPS, I got severly burned.  It was bad, and this was at 3:30am.

This year Ryan wasn't feelin' it. He said, NOPE, don't wanna. LOL He's not really fond of the pumpkin carving. It pretty much grosses him out. ;)

Happy 4th and a Great Birthday

I hope you all had a great 4th of July.My birthday was great. Friday I was with my mom, great aunt and brother. We had BBQ, cake and ice cream. Mmm, everything was sooooo yummy. My mom got me this cool gadget. It's called a Flip Video. Super cool little camcorder. It records up to 60 minutes and plugs directly into the computer and even charges back up that way as well. This is the one that I have...

My aunt got me this little portable hard drive called 'Click Free' automatic backup portable hard drive. I swear, the lady is a mind reader. I have been wanting something to back up my photos on my computer. So YAY, now I can.

Chad got me a spot at the weekend scrapbook retreat next month. I've never been on a retreat so I'm tickled pink about that. :) And my grandmother gave me $20. I'm going to put that away for my next shopping trip. There's no telling when I'll go again...LOL I haven't adventured out in awhile now.

4th of July cards

Here's my creation for the 4th.  :)  I had gotten the stamp set from Sampin! Up.  When I saw it in the catty I just KNEW I HAD TO HAVE IT!!  ;) 

But OMG, I'm totally terrible.  I just went to the post office right now.  Gesh...LOL  Most everyone won't get them til Saturday hopefully.  My dad is in Alaska though, so he won't get his til what....next wednesday probably.  LOL  Oh well now.  hehe!!  Hope ya'll enjoy the card when you get it.  lol

Mmmm, Birthday Cake is coming around the corner

So, I'm sure most of you know, I'm a big ol' firecracker baby, born on the 4th of July, bicentennial and everything. My birthday cakes are always red, white and blue. I think maybe twice they haven't been and I thought that was just a terrible thing for them to do. ;) I was searching the internet and this is a yummy cake I came across... Mmmm Very yummy cake!!!! Check it out, she shows how to make it too.

We're HOME!!, a LO and Happy Father's Day

We're home! We had a great time. I'll post some pictures later. :)

Thursday night I finished a LO, but I couldn't take the picture until we got back. :) It's for the color challenge at Scrapperie, the June week 2 challenge. Which was orange-yellowy color, brown, blue and pink.

And Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!!! You all already saw Chad's card that I made him. We also bought him a new Bible. And had in personalized with his name on it. Now he can see it to read it. LOL Poor thing, had a bible with teeny tiny letters on it. I've always had the Giant Print edition. Now he's good to go. He totally loved it. :)

Thank you Kim for posting for me on Friday about us going on vacation. :) I couldn't post from my phone. Maybe because I didn't have blogger set up with my phone yet. I'm going to have to look into that. ;)

What a Weekend...

We had a nice Memorial Day weekend. On Friday we rented 5 movies.... The Bee Movie (SUPER DUPER cute!!!!), The Astronaut Farmer (VERY VERY good!!!), Juno (really good movie!!!!!!!), Hitman (dunno, I didn't watch it! lol), and Lions for Lambs (again, I didn't watch this one, but I would've liked it). Anyways, on Saturday we went to my nephews birthday party, he turned ONE! He's just getting to big. :( I remember the day he was born. ....I was there. ;) I got to carry him from the O.R. to the nursery. BUT, I'm excited!!! My SIL is having another. Probably Nov. or Dec. and I get to be in the O.R. AGAIN. So....I'm having another baby. ;) Then on Sunday we grilled LOTS of food. The kids went to church and then that evening we ate....with the inlaws. After eating, everyone left, including the kids which left me and Chad home alone. We felt like old folks or something. We fell asleep watching tv. LOL On Monday we went to the inlaws to catch the kids in the middle of having tons of fun swimming in the pool. Later that evening they finally came home, all nice and pink. The poor little things crashed and burned come 6 and 6:30...LOL They were pooped.

And all that time, I did't have internet. :( Oh goodness, it was terrible. This morning it finally worked.

You Crack Me Up

These were the Easter Cards I made. I used the same things from the Teachers cards, plus the SU! scallop punch and new polytwill ribbon. I love that stuff!!
